Hurricane Relief

Just one thing to say. Anyone who reads my blog, I encourage you to go to www.redcross.org and make a donation to help the hurricane victims. You only have to give $5.00, and if we all give a little it can go a long way.

Nothing New

Hello to my jillions and jillions of fans. I wish that I had some awesome story to post here, or something that happened that I think is really funny. Hell, it would be nice if I had anything worth writing about, but alas, I do not. Nothing interesting has happened lately. The only comment I can make is that it really sucks when it rains, and it is even worse when it rains all day. But anyway.

This weekend is going to be fun. No class on Monday, which is cool. That means that I don't have to go to ENG 302 (history of the English language) for an entire week. Sweet. Even better, Christy is coming down this weekend and staying till Monday, which is freakin' sweet.

Also be sure to catch the Miami Redhawks take on OSU on Saturday. I hope it wont be too one-sided. That's all for now, got more work to do for the weekend.

To One of a Jillion

See people, this is what one of my jillions and jillions of fans look like. OK, so I don't know what they look like, or even who they are. However, I do appreciate the admiration. However, just a few things to clear up. 1) The only time I would ever have to worry about sitting next to a million people would be, if all my blogger fans were in the same class at the same time. 2) I never have a choice seat. In fact, I like to sit in a different seat sometimes, so that I get a different perspective. I do have to apologize for not updating often enough. I just find that I don't have time to, or that I forget. I am trying to do better and give the jillions and jillions of fans something to waste a few minutes on.

Again, thanks to the one of the jillions and jillions of fans who read my blog. Dude, you are freakin sweet.

Here we go again

Hello all you blogger fans! It has been a very long time since my last post, and most of you have probably stopped reading my blog. But for all of you who check back with the hopes that it will be updated, this is for you.

Today was the first day of classes here at Miami, but before I get to that, I want to say how awesome it is to not have a roommate. I can do what I want, watch what I want, and go to bed when I want. If I want my room to be so cold that I sleep with the sheet, an electric blanket, and a comforter (which is how it is right now) then by all means I can. Back to the classes. First day of classes is always a very strange time. You go into this new class hoping that maybe, just maybe, there will be someone you know taking that class. Otherwise you always end up sitting by yourself which is a real self-esteem booster, or with the freaky goth kid who really looks like they fell out of a Rob Zombie movie. Luckily for me, my English 301 class has a number of friends from EDT 246, so it was all good.

Then came EDP 352, which is educational psychology. I got in there knowing full well that my seat would be reserved next to that gothic kid... but luckily it was not. Someone else from EDT 246 was there who I knew, so I just had to let that poor gothic kid sit alone. Low and behold, of all people who I did not expect to have a class with, fellow former MUMB Pitster Molly Veneman came in and sat right in front of me. How lucky can I get?

Well, with two classes down and three to go, I hope that Rob Zombie kid will just stay away from me for a little longer. Family Guy is starting, so I have to get going. I suggest that you all start watching. Don't you dare even ask why, because Family Guy is freakin' sweet.

Signs of the Apocalypse

Sign of the Apocalypse:

The Bible on DVD for only $25.95 including:
Drama, Music, Live Narration, Easy Navigatable Menu, and included is a tour of "The Holy Land".
What a horrible sign of our society. The commercial comes complete with "Even if you have read the bible one hundred times, you have never heard the scripture like this."
Oh boy, I think I can hear the plagues now.

More to come

Hey to all my jillions and jillions of fans out there. Sorry for the absence, but school is really busy right now. In fact, this post is just to let everyone know that there will be a real post sometime before the end of the week, and it will include a great story about how I almost KO'd my roommate. Well, time is up. More later!

It is a Conspiracy

I have come to the conclusion that the teachers here at Miami are out to get the students. Think I am paranoid, just read on.

1) Today, I almost got hit by a professor in a little car while riding back to my dorm.
2) Upon realizing they missed me, they turned around and tried again.
3) Exam tomorrow
4) Only day to prepare an inservice project is tomorrow
5) Acts 1 & 2 of A Midsummer Nights Dream, due tomorrow
6) Art quiz
7) Poem due
8) see #1

As Bender would say, "We're boned".

The Cold Hand of Death

How cold is the hand of death,
That seized my pet this night.
Little he was, but never would
he give up. Even when he
lost a fin to sickness,
he fought on. Alas, just
when the sickness he was
in triumph almost over,
hath Death's cold syth
take a friend from me.

Alas, you will not be forgotten,
O friend of mine. Only a fish
you may have been in life,
but sadness you are in death.
Goodbye, oh nobel Gilgamesh
may you go on to fight
in a better place.

Rest in Peace, Gilgamesh

Long time no see

Well blogger fans it has been a heck of a long time since I posted last. I have some bad news for my jillions and jillions of fans out there, the posts probably wont be coming at a much better rate. I am so busy with the 18 credit hours I am taking, and 12 of those hours are reading intensive English classes, so there is not much time for this. I did want to make a quick post to let all my jillions and jillions of fans out there know that I am indeed not dead, but really busy.

My betta fish Gilgamesh has been having problems lately, as he is under attack by fungus. What I though was a transport injury turns out to be the work of nasty fungus attacking his fins. I went on a trip to Petsmart with Anne and Sam, who helped me pick out some medicine for him. If all goes well, he will have the fungus problem all cleared up and start growing his fin back in no time. Thats all the time I have for now, I got to get back to my homework.
